Organic Plant Food & Soil Amendments

Green Gourmet Houseplant Food
Watch your indoor garden thrive when you feed your houseplants and the soil with this specially formulated organic fertilizer. A little of this fertilizer goes a long way.
NPK: 3-3-2. Each 2.3-pound bag (approximately 6 cups) contains: Alfalfa Meal, Bone Meal, Blood Meal, Worm Castings, Guano, Green Sand, Rock Dust, Humic Acid and Mycorrhizae.
Directions: Use one tablespoon per square foot of container area. Apply every two months. Water the plant, then make several 1- to 2-inch-deep holes using a pencil or similar object. Pour the fertilizer into the holes and cover the openings. Water again.
When “detoxing” a plant and converting it to an organic lifestyle, leach the plant and fertilize once a month for three months, at which point you can switch to every two months.

Perfect Pumice
This porous, igneous rock forms during volcanic eruptions. It is an ideal amendment for creating the fast drainage that most plants require.
In addition to mixing it into potting soil or straight into the ground, pumice can be combined with orchid bark. It has some weight to it, so it won’t wash away during watering and rain.
Each bag holds 2.8 pounds, equal to approximately 8 cups. How much you need will vary according to what you’re planting and the soil type you’re amending.
