This is another installment of “What I Love About a Certain Plant,” and today I’m talking about Glacier Pothos.
I love this plant for a lot of reasons, but if I had to pick just one, it might sound kind of funny—I love its name. “Glacier Pothos” just really fits this plant. Of course, pothos are tropical plants, so they’re not actually from glacier environments—those icy, freezing places wouldn’t be suitable for their growth.
But the name “Glacier” feels appropriate because of the plant’s coloration. It has a frosty, icy appearance, almost as if it’s been lightly brushed with snow or frost. Of course, it hasn’t suffered any frost damage—it’s a healthy plant—but the variegation gives off that cool, glacial vibe.
I also just love how the name sounds. It rolls off the tongue nicely: “Glacier Pothos.” My Glacier Pothos and I are hanging out here today!
So that’s my favorite thing about this plant—its name and the way it suits its appearance.
Let me know in the comments what your favorite thing is about Glacier Pothos. And if you’d like to know what my favorite thing is about other houseplants, let me know so I can create a video on that plant, too.
